  • When to visit Mysore?

AyurYoga Eco-Ashram is located one hour south of Mysore. It is set in 20 acres of riverside organic farm in a peaceful countryside, closer to forest, far off from any pollutions and madness of modern India.

Registered as a non-profit trust, this ashram is run and maintained by monastic/spiritual seekers in the spirit of sharing. Your monetary contribution helps not only the future students but also their charitable projects.


Their authentic teachers, with backgrounds in monastic/spiritual communities, have experience of teaching international students in fluent English for at least five to ten years.

The facilities include eco-friendly wooden cottages with comfortable Spring-beds, Western Bathrooms, Solar Hot Water, Internet Wi-Fi, Machine Laundry, RO filtered Drinking Water, etc. They also arrange Airport Transfers and co-ordinate with other students to share the taxis.

Nourishing and delicious vegetarian food for western tummies is also available. All vegetables and fruit are either grown in their own farm or bought from local farmers.

At the altitude of 700 mts (2300 ft) above sea level, the weather there is the best you can expect in India. Moderate temperatures and humidity throughout the year – between 20 C to 30 C (70F to 90 F).

Aananda Yoga India

Aananda Yoga India was established in 1998 with the vision “Health and Bliss for all” by Yogacharya Bharath Shetty.

Trained under B.K.S.Iyengar, Yogacharya Bharath Shetty combined with his personal practise, developed a yogic system called “IndeaYoga“-a combination of Hatha/Ashtanga and Iyengar(without Props), focussing on alignment and building coordination of breath with body and mind, emphasising on ‘Naa Hathath, naa bhalath”(no force, no pressure).

Starting TTCs from 2005, this Alliance Registered Yoga School has trained more than 550 teachers from 60 countries. Aananda Yoga India’s aim is to develop teachers of exceptional quality.


Their Yoga Teacher Training Course helps students achieve freedom of reaching appropriate state imbibing links that help them progress from basic to advanced levels.

It is a holistic TTC which also pays special attention to the teaching technique and to the confidence of students as future teachers.

The course is very well structured and conducted in two stages: TTC 250+Hrs, leading to RYS 200 (4 weeks); TTC IYT Advance+ leading to RYS 500 (4 weeks) or a back to back TTC covering level 1 and Advanced level -TTC IYT 500+Hrs (8 Weeks).
